How real estate agents get recommended by AI assistants

Updated · 2 min read

Buyers and sellers ask AI assistants things like “best estate agent to sell a flat in Hackney”, “realtor who knows downtown Austin condos” or “agent for first-time buyers in Brisbane”.

AI recommends agents whose local expertise is easy to see: the neighbourhoods they cover, the property types they sell, and what clients say about them.

1. Create a page for each area you cover

A page for each suburb or neighbourhood, with what properties sell for, who buys there, schools and transport, and your recent sales, shows real local knowledge. These pages match the very local questions people ask AI.

2. Show your track record

List agents, years of experience, specialisms (first-time buyers, luxury, rentals, commercial) and results such as homes sold or typical time to sell, within your local advertising rules.

3. Be complete on the property portals and profiles

Keep agent and agency profiles complete on the main property portals in your market (for example Zillow and Realtor.com in the US, Rightmove and Zoopla in the UK, or realestate.com.au and Domain in Australia), plus Google Business Profile and Bing Places. AI assistants often draw on these.

4. Add RealEstateAgent structured data

Use the RealEstateAgent type with your office address, hours, areas served and profile links. Create it with the free schema generator.

5. Answer buyer and seller questions

Publish answers to the questions clients ask: “What are your fees?”, “How long does it take to sell in [area]?”, “Do you handle rentals?”. Mark them up with the FAQ schema generator.

6. Ask every client for a review

Reviews that mention the area and the result (“sold our house in Leederville in three weeks above asking”) are powerful for AI matching. See how to get more Google reviews.

Questions

Does each agent need their own profile?

It helps. Many people search for individual agents. Give each agent a page on your website with their areas, specialisms and reviews, and keep their portal profiles complete.

Are there rules on what I can claim?

Yes. Property advertising is regulated in most countries. Keep claims about sales, prices and results accurate and up to date.
