What is robots.txt?
A small file at yoursite.com/robots.txt that tells crawlers which pages they may read. Many sites block AI crawlers by accident, often through a security plugin or a copied template.
What's the difference between answer bots and training bots?
Answer bots (such as OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User and PerplexityBot) read your site so AI assistants can show and link to it in answers. Training bots (such as GPTBot and ClaudeBot) collect content to train future models. You can block training and still allow answers.
If my site is allowed, will AI recommend me?
